Product Introduction

NM400 is a high-strength wear-resistant steel plate. It has high wear resistance, and its Brinell hardness value reaches 400 (HBW). It is mainly used to provide protection for occasions or parts that require wear resistance, so that the equipment has a longer life, reduces maintenance and downtime caused by maintenance, and correspondingly reduces funds. input. And its chemical composition and mechanical properties are regulated by the WZB-NM360 Grade.  

 

NM400 carbon content generally does not exceed 0.21%, 400 represents the average Brinell hardness of this steel plate.

 

NM400 has the following general characteristics:

 

1)High Strength : The yield is over 900, and the tensile strength is over 1100.

 

2)High mechanical strength: NM400 has quite high mechanical strength, its mechanical properties are 3 to 5 times that of ordinary low-alloy steel plates, it can significantly improve the wear resistance of mechanical-related parts, thus improving the service life of machinery and reducing production costs.

 

3)High hardness: The surface hardness of this product usually reaches 360-450HB. Applicable structural steel plates for processing and manufacturing wear-resistant and vulnerable parts for mines and various construction machinery.

 

4)Wide application: NM400 wear-resistant steel plate is widely used in engineering machinery, mining machinery, coal mining machinery, environmental protection machinery, metallurgical machinery, abrasive tools, bearings and other product parts.

Cold-forming Characteristics of NM400 Wear Resistant Steel:

Cold bending property of the plate is well although the high strength and hardness and also cold moulding process performs well. To prevent crack at edge of plate at time of cold working, flame cutting edge or sheared edge need repair grinding in bending area.

 

Hot-forming Characteristics of NM400 Wear Resistant Steel:

Hot-forming property of the plate performs well, the temperature of hot working should be less than 350℃. If the processing temperature of plate is more than transformation temperature (i.e. over AC) , low temperature tempering is necessary after hot working of the plate, tempering temperature is 250 – 350℃ (contrast with Sweden DILLIOUR400V steel, hot forming temperature increase by 150℃ )

Classification By Size

The length is generally 2440mm, 2000mm, 3050mm, 4000mm, 3000mm, and the thickness is distinguished by cold rolling and hot rolling. Cold rolling mainly has thickness 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm. The main thickness of hot rolling is 3.0mm, 4.0mm, 6.0mm, 8.0mm, 10.0mm, and the width is generally 1000mm, 1219mm, 1500mm.Please contact customer service for general specifications.

Hot-rolled products have excellent properties such as high strength, good toughness, easy processing and good weldability, so they are widely used in manufacturing industries such as steel, construction, machinery, boilers, and pressure vessels.
