Product Introduction

60Si2Mn alloy spring steel is a widely used silicon-manganese spring steel, its strength, elasticity and hardenability are slightly higher than 55Si2Mn, and its chemical composition and mechanical properties are regulated by the Chinese national standard GB/T 1222-2007.

60Si2Mn is equivalent to A29M:2005 in the United States standard, EN 10089:2002 in Europe, and ISO 683-14:2004 in international standard.

60Si2Mn spring steel has the following general characteristics:

1)Low Carbon Content: 60Si2Mn spring steel belongs to the category of low-carbon alloy steel, cold extruded, carburized and hardened steel. The carbon content in 65Mn is generally in 0.56~0.6%, making it a low carbon steel suitable for welding and forming processes.

2)Excellent Flexibility and plasticity: After heat treatment and cold drawing hardening, the strength is relatively high, and it has certain flexibility and plasticity; under the same surface state and complete hardening, the fatigue limit is equivalent to that of the colorful alloy spring, exhibits good plasticity, allowing it to be formed into various shapes and structures without fracturing.

3)Heat treatment method: 60Si2Mn heat treatment methods include isothermal tempering, step quenching, sub-temperature quenching, high temperature tempering, and deformation heat treatment. The method can effectively improve the strength, toughness and service life of the 60Si2Mn spring steel.
