20CrMnTi Heat treatment 

  • Annealing of 20CrMnTi Alloy Gearing steel

Slowly heated to 790-810 ℃ and allow enough times, let the steel to be thoroughly heated, Then cool slowly in the furnace. Different annealing ways will get different hardness.The 20CrMnTi Gearing steel will get Hardness MAX 248 HB (Brinell hardness).

  • Quenching and temperature of 20CrMnTi gear steel

Heated slowly to 788°C, Then put in salt-bath furnace keep 1191 ℃to 1204 ℃。quenching by oil get 60 to 66 HRc hardness. High temperature tempering: 650-700℃,cool in air, get hardness 22 to 30HRC. Low temperature tempering: 150-200 ℃, Cool  in ari, get 61-66HRC hardness.

  • Hot work and cold work of 20CrMnTi Alloy Gearing steel
  • GB 20CrMnTi steel can hot worked at 205 to 538°C, 20CrMnTi Bearing/Gearing steel can be cold worked using conventional techniques in the annealed or normalized conditions.

Application:

It is a good performance of carburizing carbon steel, high hardenability, after carburizing quenching with hard and wear-resistant surface and tough core, with high low temperature impact toughness, weldability, good machinability after normalizing. It is used to manufacture the important parts such as gear, gear ring, gear shaft cross head which bear high speed, medium or heavy load, impact and friction with cross section <30mm. Is a substitute steel for 18CrMnTi, widely used as carburized parts in automobiles. The tractor industry is used in cross sections below 30mm to withstand high speeds. Medium or heavy load and impact. Friction of important carburized parts, such as gears. Shaft. Gear ring. Gear shaft. The main shaft of the sliding bearing. Crosshead. Claw clutch. Worm, etc.

Classification By Size:

The length is generally 6000mm, 1250mm,2200mm,12000mm, and the thickness is distinguished by cold rolling and hot rolling. Cold rolling mainly has thickness 1.0mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm.
